What you can expect

Hop on a hot air balloon ride over Cairns before taking to the water in a jet boat on this full-day adventure. After a predawn collection from your accommodation, you will arrive at the landing site to watch the balloons as they inflate. Once the balloon is ready, step into the basket and let your experienced pilot take you to float above the rainforest-covered hills, mountains, and tablelands for sunrise. From this view, you can see from the Atherton Tablelands across to the coast and the Great Barrier Reef. Once landed, enjoy a light snack with a glass of sparkling wine. From there, it's on to your next adventure: a 35-minute jet boat ride on the Trinity Inlet. You will be delivered to the marina where you will take to the water for spins, slides, and adrenaline-pumping speeds. The captain will also provide great information on Cairns and the region between spins.

Additional Information
  • Children under 3 years old cannot participate.
  • Children 3 - 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Jetboat requires children to be 1.1 meters tall.
  • Children aged 13-17 years old can travel on the balloon flight by themselves but must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the tour.
  • You must be able to climb up the 1.2-meter foothold ladder into the hot air balloon basket without assistance.
  • You must be able to stand for the duration of the flight.
  • Pregnant women and those who participated in diving the previous day are not suited to this activity.
  • Passengers with medical conditions or who have accessibility issues, please check with your doctor or specialist before booking.
  • At no time will a passenger be allowed to fly if their judgment is impaired by alcohol, drugs, or prescription medicine
  • Due to weight and safety restrictions, handbags and backpacks may not be carried on the hot air balloon. Please do not bring large bags.
  • Unless the camera fails, digital photos will be provided on every flight. If the camera fails, no compensation or refund will be given.
  • Please note that the timings might be adjusted due to seasonal changes, and the specific schedule is subject to the reservation confirmation you received.
  • It is recommended that you wear long pants and closed-in shoes - no heels, slippers or skirts, please.
  • Bring a jacket as it gets quite cool as the sun rises and please avoid white clothes.
  • Carry hats and sunglasses, and a fully charged camera for taking pictures.
  • If your flight time is from April to October (in winter), you need to wear warm clothes to prevent the cold; in other months, there will be warm airflow due to the burning of hot air balloons, so you do not need to wear warm clothes.
  • Following the Jet Boat ride, please make your own way back to your accommodation.
Terms And Conditions
  • Hot air ballooning is contingent upon suitable weather conditions. Should cancellation occur due to unfavorable weather: If you decide not to rebook or cannot find an alternative date for the ballooning experience, the Jetboat tour will still be available for you on the scheduled afternoon, however, the cost of the Jetboat tour will no longer be complimentary and the standard retail price of the Jetboat tour will be deducted from the original payment when processing your refund.
  • If the jetboat cruise is cancelled by the operator, the complimentary ticket is not refundable or transferable.
  • If you reschedule hot air ballooning, attend the jetboat tour before the rescheduled date, and subsequently decide to cancel the balloon ride within the acceptable cancellation timeframe, a refund is available. However, the regular retail price of the jetboat tour will be deducted from this refund
  • There is a price difference between weekend and weekday sessions
Cancellation Policy
  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience.
  • Bad Fishy Jet Boat bookings will be automatically cancelled when the Hot Air tour is cancelled.
  • Please note that in the event of a Jet Boat tour cancellation for any reason, refunds or guarantees are not provided.

  • Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
